County Fair

The Broome County Fair plays an important role in the growth and development of 4-H youth. This unique opportunity allows youth to showcase their projects and learning in return for encouraging and motivating feedback to promote continued growth and development. Youth also receive acknowledgment and recognition for their hard work and dedication, while sharing their learning with the public and learning from others. Youth who participate in county fair learn responsibility and sportsmanship while strengthening their confidence and communication skills. 4-H alumni often credit the week-long experience for sparking their passions and developing relationships that last a lifetime.

Harvest Blooms & Rustic Tunes: What We Grow Today Shapes Tomorrow

This year’s theme, Harvest Blooms & Rustic Tunes, celebrates the beauty of agriculture, the value of hard work, and the strong sense of community that brings the Broome County Fair to life each year. Inspired by blooming fields, rustic charm, and the lively spirit of country traditions, this theme highlights both the visible and unseen growth that happens through 4-H.

The “Harvest Blooms” side represents the results of dedication—animals raised with care, projects completed through months of effort, and skills developed over time. The “Rustic Tunes” side reflects the heart of the fair experience—community, connection, and the traditions that make fair week so special. From barnyard conversations to show ring moments, this theme captures what it truly means to be part of 4-H.

4-H continues to grow the future through youth leadership, hands-on learning, and meaningful experiences. Whether participating in livestock exhibitions, creative projects, or leadership opportunities, our members build confidence, responsibility, and lifelong skills that extend far beyond the fair.
