Our daytime Spark program is designed with our growing homeschooling community in mind. Our 4-H'ers will design their own bristle bots—tiny vibrating robots made from toothbrush heads and simple motors. Before they put them to work though, they will first design and build a custom maze, testing it with hexbug nanobots.

Once their maze is complete, they will then build their own personal robot-- the bristle bots. As they race, they will have to observe and make adjustments to their designs to get them to move forward through the obstacle course. This is a great starter exercise in engineering, design thinking, and robotics!

4-H'ers will get to take both their maze and personal bristle bot home with them.

Who: Broome County 4-H Members

This is not a drop-off program. As with all of our 4-H programs, we encourage parents to stay (and potentially help) with their young ones.

When: Wednesday, November 5, 2025

Time: 11:00am- 1:00pm

Where: CCE Auditorium,

840 Upper Front Street, Binghamton
