Awards & Recognition

Every year 4-H members, volunteers, and staff come together to celebrate the growth of our youth over the past year. The Annual Awards Event recognizes youth for their participation, individual growth, achievement, cooperation, and leadership. The purpose of recognition is to encourage and support the efforts of young people in learning to improve their knowledge and develop their life skills, while promoting self-confidence. This year our achievement night will be on October 4th!

Member Report Forms are a record of a member's unique 4-H experience over the past year. They are required to receive certificates for years in 4-H/project completion and serve as an application for the awarded trips and flex spending awards listed below. The awards available vary by year and the age of the 4-H member. In order for youth to be eligible for awarded trips they must complete a public presentation during the 4-H year. All youth are encouraged to complete a Member Report Form to document their experience, including Cloverbuds, who are not eligible for the awards. (See green box to right)

What is a Member Report Form and when are they due?

Member Report Forms are a record of a member's unique 4-H experience over the past year. They are required to receive project completion certificates and serve as an application for all trips and awards. ALL youth are encouraged to submit a Member Report Form to document their experience, including Cloverbuds who are not eligible for the awards, by September 13th, 2024. (See green box to right) Submission also insures youth receive their years in 4-H pin, regardless of their attendance at the dinner.

How are award recipients selected?

Youth 13 & up participate in an interview process to determine trip/flex-spending recipients. The remaining youth who submitted a Member Report Form are then selected at random to receive flex spending awards, based on available funds.
