Career Development Training for Young Adults Ages 18–24

CareerBound is a comprehensive career development and workforce training program designed to support young adults ages 18–24 as they build skills, confidence, and career pathways toward meaningful employment and long-term success.

Our goal is to empower participants to achieve economic independence by helping them secure employment, earn their GED, enroll in post-secondary education, and access vocational training and work experience opportunities through Broome-Tioga BOCES and local employers.


What We Offer

Career Development Training (4 Weeks)

Participants engage in a highly interactive, positive youth development model focused on building essential workplace and life skills, including:

  • Professional communication
  • Resume building
  • Interview preparation
  • Job application assistance
  • Conflict resolution
  • Financial literacy
  • Workplace expectations & professionalism

Industry-Recognized Certifications

CareerBound Associates have the opportunity to earn recognized certifications, including:

  • National Customer Service and Sales Certification
  • Work Readiness Certification

These credentials strengthen resumes and increase job readiness and employability.

Education & Training Support

Participants receive guidance and support to:

  • Earn their GED
  • Enroll in post-secondary education
  • Access vocational training programs through Broome-Tioga BOCES

Paid Work Experience Opportunities

After completing the 4-week training, CareerBound Associates may apply for paid work experience placements based on their interests, including:

  • Customer Service
  • Medical Field
  • Animal Care
  • Retail
  • Skilled Trades

These placements provide valuable hands-on experience and professional references.
