Careerbound is a Career Development Training for individuals between the ages of 18 to 24 years old. The goal of our training is to assist all of our participants with securing meaningful employment, support them as they earn their TASC/GED, enroll in post-secondary education, provide opportunities for work experience or vocational training through Broome-Tioga BOCES.

Utilizing highly interactive positive youth development, CareerBound seeks to provide program participants with the skills to be successful in the workplace. Communication skills, resume building, conflict resolution, interviewing skills, proper application submission, and financial literacy skills are just some of the skills participants gain—all vital in the world of work.

CareerBound provides several opportunities to earn nationally recognized certifications. CareerBound Associates can earn the National Customer Service and Sales Certification, the safe food handling certification, ServSafe, and a Work Readiness Certification. CareerBound serves to prepare young people with a solid foundation to grow from and become self-sufficient.

Following the completion of a 4-week Career Development Training CareerBound Associates have an opportunity to apply for a paid work experience. Work experience opportunities will be based off the interest of the CareerBound Associate and could include: Customer Service, Medical Field, Animal Care, and Retail.
