Pollinator Pathway

Welcome to the Broome County Pollinator Pathway!

We are a collaboration between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County (CCE-BC), CCE-BC Master Gardeners, and the Broome County community whose mission it is to bring people together to plant, conserve, and connect pollinator habitats across the county. To help connect these habitats and the species within them, we encourage individuals and organizations at all levels to plant native species, reduce pesticide use, create nesting and overwintering habitats, and spread the word about the value of biodiversity.

Pollinators are critical for growing our food crops and sustaining healthy, natural ecosystems. By connecting people with nature and safeguarding local food supplies, the Pathway also supports the health and well-being of people throughout our communities.

Join us in creating a vital network or pollinator-friendly habitats across our county. The Broome Pollinator Pathway is part of a larger initiative to establish a continuous corridor of safe havens for birds, bees, butterflies, and other essential insects. This corridor will connect private gardens with public spaces, providing much-needed sanctuary.
