4-H Maker's Market

The Broome County 4-H Makers’ Market will be held during the Broome County Fair in Whitney Point, NY. 4-H members will showcase the youth businesses and handmade products they have developed through the 4-H Makers’ Market program.

A 4-H Makers’ Market project includes more than just making an item to sell. Members learn about entrepreneurship, business planning, budgeting, pricing, marketing, customer service, and recordkeeping. Youth are responsible for creating their products, preparing their booth, managing their inventory, and interacting with customers in a real market setting.

Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet our youth entrepreneurs, and support their hard work before the Livestock and Pie Auction begins.
