You don't need to own a horse to join our horse program! This group is open to all youth interested in learning more about horses through hands-on activities and friendly competitions. We plan to meet about twice a month for study sessions or field trips, covering a variety of topics in equine science. The program is designed to prepare and motivate members for optional participation in 4-H Hippology, Horse Bowl, and Horse Judging competitions.
Participants will learn the basics of equine nutrition, with an overview of key vitamins and minerals, common feeds, and plant identification. The class concludes with a practical session creating nutritious horse treats.
