You don't need to own a horse to join our horse program! This group is open to all youth interested in learning more about horses through hands-on activities and friendly competitions. We plan to meet about twice a month for study sessions or field trips, covering a variety of topics in equine science. The program is designed to prepare and motivate members for optional participation in 4-H Hippology, Horse Bowl, and Horse Judging competitions.
Designed for 4-H members, this program explores the basics of equine reproduction with a focus on simple genetics, key terms, reproductive anatomy, and understanding the stages of labor and foaling.
