New York State Grown & Certified Program Training

Are you familiar with the New York State Grown & Certified Program, New York State's farm and food branding program? This free program to join now features 17 commodities and agricultural products:

At this program we will discuss the three certification criteria:

  • NYS Grown/Production Status,
  • Participation in a 3rd party food safety verification program, if applicable; and
  • Participation in an environmental management program (AEM)

We will discuss resources available to help you meet these criteria, including:

  • Good Agricultural Practices audit reimbursement program
  • Soil & Water Conservation District (Agricultural Environmental Management Plan)
  • Quality Assurance Programs
  • Food Safety Trainings

We will discuss grant programs available once you enroll in the program:

  • Cooperative Marketing Program
  • Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Development Grant Program

Farms who attend will receive a copy of the application for their specific commodity as well as any other resources available. 

The cost for this training is $15pp which includes a light lunch and all handouts.
