The Ruffed Grouse has amazing adaptations including those for winter survival and announcing their presence during the spring breeding season. It is one of the most widely distributed game birds in North America that has also experienced significant declines in New York (and other areas) since the 1960's. We will examine all this and more for a most interesting year-round resident.
Participants are invited to bring a lunch to enjoy with fellow community members, or purchase one from CCE's "Taste NY" store.
Registration is required. Admission is free.
