The Golden Eagle is one of the largest, most powerful, and widespread raptor species in the world. This spectacular eagle was once reserved only for kings and emperors to hunt with. In the eastern United States, the Bald Eagle is by far the most common, but it is possible to see Golden Eagles in NY and even in Broome County. We will discuss the Golden Eagle natural history, how to distinguish between the two eagle species, and when and where it is most likely to see the Golden Eagle in our area. Join us as we become more familiar with our lesser-known eagle.
