Members will meet regularly to share their passion for horses while studying equine science. They will create and keep their own study book to keep and use in preparation for participation in Horse Bowl and Hippology. Participation in the competitions is not required, but they will be the motivational force behind the course material.
Can you identify where the poll, croup, dock, hock, or fetlock are? Learning equine anatomy is important knowledge to have as a horse owner. After we cover anatomy basics, we will focus more specifically on teeth. How many teeth does a horse have? How can teeth tell us a horse’s age? What does an equine dentist do and what tools do they use? As always, each week we will also review material presented at previous meetings through either Kahoots, Horse Bowl practice, or other trivia games.
