During the Breastfeeding program, participants learn about:
- Healthy nutrition for mom during and after pregnancy.
- The importance of breastfeeding for both mom and baby.
- Changes in mom’s breasts to prepare for breastfeeding.
- Positioning for breastfeeding.
- Understanding baby’s hunger signals to make breastfeeding less stressful and more successful.
- Ways to evaluate whether or not baby is getting enough to eat.
- Overcoming barriers to breastfeeding.
