Introduction to Backyard Composting

  • Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Join us and learn the basics of the composting process and how to create and maintain your own backyard bin. We will explain each step of the composting process including site selection, the pros and cons of various composting bin types, acceptable materials to compost, and how to harvest and use the finished product. Slides and educational handouts will be shared after the webinar.

We will be raffling off twelve (12) free GeoBins at the end of the webinar for free! To be entered into the raffle, participants must be a Broome County resident and must attend the entire webinar. Raffle winners will be drawn at random the following day, April 21st and contacted to schedule a pick-up at the CCE Broome County office located at 840 Upper Front Street in Binghamton,13905. The video on the right demonstrates how to set up a GeoBin.
