Hands-On Home Composting for Veterans

Veterans are invited to join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County at a demonstration style workshop will help you learn the basic steps for successful composting. We’ll explore the composting area in Cutler Botanic Gardens and see in action the pros and cons of various composting methods and bin designs, and learn how to how to use compost to improve gardens. Then participants will be able to build their own home composting set-up. The workshop will be held rain or shine.

This workshop is supported through the Broome County Department of Veterans Services and Cornell Small Farms FarmOps initiative and through this support we are able to provide this training free of charge.
