This workshop consist of 3 parts to prepare youth for the 4-H County Public Presentation Event on February 26th. Youth do not need to attend all 3 parts and are not required to attend/participate in County Public Presentations but are highly encouraged.
February 8th – During this session of public presentation workshops, you will learn the difference between demonstration presentations and illustrated talks. It will be a fun hands-on session to see what these are and how you can do them easily too.
February 15th – During this public presentation workshop, youth can choose between 2 sessions:
Session A: Creating Resumes, Cover Letters and Prepare for Interviews - this will be for youth who are 14 years old and up and have at least 2 years of public speaking experience with 4-H.
Session B: Visual’s Basics - will be for ages 5-18 and will talk about visuals you can create and use in your presentations. We will also touch on the difference between a demonstration, illustrated talk, dramatic presentation, recitation, and public speaking and how visuals play into each of those presentation categories.
February 22nd – During this public presentation workshop youth can practice a part of their presentation and get some feedback from experienced evaluators. This is just in time for making any edits to their presentations before the 4-H County Public Presentation event on February 26th.
Must be a 4-H member
