Public Presentations is often cited by 4-H alumni as the most significant and valuable 4-H learning experience, more so than any other 4-H program. Youth, with the support of their families, clubs, and 4-H staff learn to develop presentations on topics that are most relevant and exciting to them. With lots of practice and a little experience, youth develop confidence in presenting their topics in front of the judges at the County, State, and even National level. The greatest learning begins when youth are able to use the positive, constructive feedback from our judges to further develop their skills in planning, preparing, and presenting their next presentation. Presentations are for 4-Hers of all ages but don't forget youth 13 & up who complete a presentation during the year and submit a Member Report Form at the end of year will be eligible to interview for Awarded Trips.
The Broome 4-H Public Presentations event is on February 29th, 2020. This event will be held at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County at 840 Upper Front Street. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail attached to this registration with the time of the youth's presentation. If your youth is doing more than one presentation, they will need to register more than once.
